Picked up this awesome shirt at the game today! Instead of everybody stuck on comparing the two, who’s better the Clippers or the Lakers, I say shit… we now have TWO awesome teams to root for in LA now. I agree as a Lakers fan it was just 1 game (3 actually because I count pre-season games, since a win is a win and you should play to win no matter what) but in no way do these 3 games automatically make LA a Clipper town. Of course, Lakers have the history, the championships, and not to mention the best in the league Kobe Bryant. But the Clippers win tonight shows that the Clippers aren’t the same old Clippers that I watched with Michael Olowokandi and Maurice Taylor. The Clippers can now compete with the best, and this is what I’m most excited about. I’m an LA basketball fan. A Clippers fan AND a Lakers fan. Yes you can be both. It’s just Kobe scoring 40 points doesn’t excite me. The Lakers winning and playing together as a team does. The Clippers “Lob City” isn’t what makes me a fan, it’s the teamwork they display especially when a man is down and all teammates rush to his aid and help him up. Not to mention, Blake Griffin is my favorite player. So shut up everybody, and stop making excuses. A win is a win, and the Clippers won the battle tonight. As long as an LA team brings home the Larry O’Brian trophy and LeBron is still left without a ring on his finger, I’m happy. Let’s go LA Basketball!! (Taken with instagram)
